Identification/Variations: An olive brown shell with some faded yellow markings. They face has yellow markings with one red stripe beyond the eye.

Range/Habitat: These turtles are not found as a native species in the Pacific Northwest. They are only found in a few locations including  Portland, the southern Willamette Valley,  and the Puget Sound. 

Notes: While little is known what affects the introduced populations of this turtle has had on the native wildlife, the Western Pond Turtle has suffered where this turtle has become established.
